Author Guidelines
1. The content of your submission must be relevant to an Australian legal audience.
2. All manuscripts must be unpublished work, which is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere.
3. Submissions must be typed, double-spaced and on A4-sized paper.
4. Authors must supply a copy of their manuscript in Microsoft Word format.
5. Style and referencing of submissions should conform to the current edition of the Australian Guide to Legal Citation, available electronically here.
6. All illustrations, figures, and tables must be placed within the text at the relevant point in the article, rather than at the end.
7. Articles should not ordinarily exceed 12,000 words (excluding footnotes) and must include an abstract of not more than 120 words. Case notes and book reviews should not generally be longer than 3,000 words, and comments not longer than 5,000 words. Exceptions may nevertheless be made in appropriate cases.
8. Please include a short footnote at the beginning of the submission specifying the relevant qualifications, current position and contact email address of each author, and acknowleding any funding or other non-authorship contributions.
9. Please note that we generally do not publish articles initially written for the purpose of coursework (LLB or LLM) assessment as they do not meet the standards required for academic publication.
